Prime Suspect is a team of scientists, each of us having over 20 years of experience in our respective fields. We are experts in Forensic Science, Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, and Law, with our careers allowing us to work on some of the largest investigations in the country. We’re excited about what we do and want to pass along our passions to future generations. With the right tools in hand, who knows what scientific mysteries today’s children may be able to solve tomorrow?
Prime Suspect is pleased to offer customized STEM education programs to fit your school’s current interests and lesson plans. These scientist-led activities are aligned with New Jersey’s Student Learning Standards and Next Generation Science Standards. Students will use new methodologies for solving crimes through hands-on science and math, team building and problem solving. What they learn from participating in one of our programs will help them as they seek a college education or career in the exciting field of science. Prime Suspect is also available to provide an acute understanding of forensics to educators, law enforcement, and attorneys in professional development and consulting sessions.
Unlike similar programs, we are real forensic scientists teaching real science techniques. We provide children with hands on training that mimic what we’ve done for years in the laboratory, in the court room, and at the scene of the crime. Our life experiences, combined with our passion for teaching, provides a unique in-depth look at science and how it pertains to real life. Our interdisciplinary and applied approach helps kids understand science in a way that’s fun and engaging. What they experience through Prime Suspect is sure to stick with them as they begin to understand the real science behind solving crimes! Our goal is to light the spark that could potentially create a lifelong passion for science and problem solving.
